The Morden Corn & Apple Festival originated as a community celebration for Canada’s Centennial in 1967 and has grown into the largest street festival in Manitoba, attracting over 75,000 people to enjoy three days of activity-packed fun. The festival committee approached us with the desire for a re-brand. The only logo hadn’t been updated in some time and they were hoping to put a modern and fun twist on the well-known festival branding.
The main logo was laid out to resemble a street sign, representing the fact that it is a street festival, with stylized cobs of corn and apples forming the ampersand between Corn and Apple. A number of illustrations were included in the re-brand package which included, corn cobs, pie, candy apples, cotton candy, music note corn kernels and an apple ferris wheel.
